An internationally trained actress, director, teacher, and world-traveler in the making, Lena Sakalla has empowered artists through their art for seven years. Coach Lena was created to provide professional training in a safe environment, inclusive of all individuals, for her students to trust, thrive, and transcend previous obstacles. Blending fun exercises into digestible techniques in acting, voice, and audition preparation, students not only elevate their art, but unlock a more confident version of themselves.
Put simply, this is Lena’s passion. Since 2018, she has been coaching, directing, and teaching those of all ages: grade school, to university, to adults. Lena has created and taught voice classes while directing children’s plays and showcases in Florida and California, including the Hippodrome Regional Theatre, STAR Theatre, We the People, Co., and B Street Theatre. Lena has been a part of 25+ productions, including 6 international ones. After studying at The Acting Studio in NYC and double majoring Summa Cum Laude with a BFA in Musical Theatre and a BA in Arts Administration from the University of West Florida, Lena moved abroad and studied Theatre Techniques at La Escuela de Artes Escénicas de Manresa in Barcelona.
Lena is adding Theatre in English classes for students seeking greater communication and self-expression skills in English as a foreign language using a natural approach. She also holds a 120 hour Master Certificate from TEFL Bridge and an AMET Certificate from the International University of Catalonia.
